Flooded with knowledge

Went for the Star Education Fair at KLCC today. Yes, me, going to an education fair :O!

Well I thought I'd go try it out as there was going to be talk on pharmacy during the fair. After all, I might as well try to get all the info I need if I'm going to change my main plan for the future.

Had our lunch at Nando's. Gawd, the place was packed. We waited about 10 minutes just to get a seat. After that, ... we ordered and.. .. .. .. 30 minutes later.. .. .. WTH WHERE'S OUR FOOD?! Some failcase misplaced our order or smth and got really mixed up, Ugh, damn annoying. Almost made us late to the talk later.

Walked over to the convention centre where the fair was being held. The talk was on the 3rd floor. Rushed up and found our way into the hall.

When we got in, it had already started. Thank you awesome service from restaurant we ate at for lunch. The talk lasted about.. 20+ minutes. Cause they had to cram 4 different talks into a 2 hour session. It was a pretty informative talk. It certainly gained my interest in the field of medicine and pharmacy. One thing's for sure, I don't regret changing my plan now :)

We left when the Psychology talk was about to start. Nothing to do with us LOL

Went back to the ground floor and into the fair. Checked out some of the booths for info on pharmacy. Though it is.. kinda late.. considering the fact I'm already in college. lawls.


HELP ! Yes, turns out they only accept students taking A-Levels into their pharmacy degree. SAM/Foundation? Screw off. zZz. So guessing I don't qualify. Meh.

TAYLOR'S! The uni everyone seems to be going to. Can't really remember much from here.

MONASH! One of my main options after Pre-U. Luckily for me, they do accept AusMat.. Well.. it's an AUSTRALIAN university after all.. Haha. But.. I'm gonna need a TER 80+? I think.. So yeah, got ALOT of hardwork ahead of me if I stick with pharmacy.

Ah yes, SUNWAY! Whee! My ausmat college xD.

Went over to IMU after that, just grabbed a bag of brochures to study xD

This car was like.. abandoned at the car park or smth. It had a friggin' thick layer of dust over it. And alot of dust drawings xD. Sigh, poor car :(

Overall, pretty interesting day. Don't regret it one bit :)

Retardation

So today I went for another driving lesson. I had initially thought it'd be another 1 hr lesson, then I could go to gym with the rest. BUT THEN... DEM DEM DEM.. Suddenly, drove all the way to the driving school, registered for lessons, boom! 2 hours lesson + all the delay = 4 hrs. wth.

Learnt how to park, hill, 3-point turn today. The 1st hour was crap, I kept messing up with the clutch and reverse. It's been quite awhile since I last drove, or 1st drove. D:
Got nagged, blablabla, dam stressed out, couldn't focus one bit. But after about.. 30 mins..? or so.. I got the hang of it =D.

Went in to register and what'd ya know.. "Hey Kin Hoe!" *looks up*. Natalie was there. Hahah, she was taking her driver's test today, she passed. Congrats! xD

Then a second instructor took over and taught me how to do the hill and 3-point. Luckily, this time I got one that was quite friendly, he didn't scold/nag me for all the stupid mistakes I made. Which made me alooooooooooooooot more relaxed :DDDD
Thus, I managed to do both almost effortlessly :DDDD (not the slope though, I'll mention why later)

Went back into the building, stoned and waited around for quite some time. Walked out again to finish up my day and suddenly "HEY KIN HOE" again from somewhere. Looked up, and this time I saw Ern Ern with Jia Min and another friend whose name I do not know. =O

Gawd, there were many KK people there today :S

So yeah, the instructor told me to go practice on my own. Do the parking and hill. I did the parking, meh, no sweat.. Then I thought I'd be smart and attempt the hill... Went well.. drove up.. stopped.. freed gear.. handbrake.. then it was time to drive. BOOOOOM!! ENGINE STALL. OMGGGGGGGGG everytime I start it, car flys backward. OMG, over panicked. Got stuck for about 5 mins, disrupting the track, it was already friggin crowded. >.<

An Interesting Twist

Today was quite the relaxing day.

Had 2 hours to kill before orientation starts at 9.30. Spent it lazing around our usual spot. I've chosen to drop Computer Science for Physics so yeah, went to get my subs changed. o_o now I have 6 straight hours on Tuesday from 10.30 to 4.30 :O Gawd, there'll only be about.. 10 minutes break after EALD before I have to rush off to the labs.. somewhere. I highly doubt there'll be enough time to grab smth decent to eat. Each lab session only lasts an hour and there's no way I can afford to waste any of that time running around trying to satisfy my hunger O_O + right after Chemistry lab I have to rush off to Bio lab. No time for a snack there. After that, Gotta run to Moral Studies. Never thought Moral would still haunt me, it won't go awayyyy!!!!

10 minutes is definately not enough time for a decent meal, the cafe stuff takes damn long to prepare anyway. =(((((( *epic sad face*

Well, I thought I could change both to EALD 2 and Maths 3. It would have been.. convenient.. since it actually fit my timetable and also for a number of reasons, but alas.. I can't change those 2. Can't change that many.. Guess I'll have to see how it works out. I hope I can stand 6 hours of classes without a meal in between. T_T *sobsob*

After 1 week.. if it doesn't work out I'll try to get it sorted out. After all I've got till the 18th to finalize my timetable.

Once that was done, we met up with bw.. who had.. other "issues" he had to attend to. Meh. Well, can't really say much bout him cause if it were me.. I would have done exactly the same LOL. Saw Limau and her friend on the way to MPH4 and Chonek as well. So we went to try to get seats early. Conveniently enough, the whole back row was empty.. Which would mean it could fit all 10+ of us. BUT THEN!! Apparently it was reserved for lecturers :(

So yeah, we moved up ahead. Got split up. So yeah.. listened to the talk on saving $$
It was pretty interesting, the presenter was good. I think her name was Angela. Turns out she paid all the university fees herself by doing part time jobs, singing at weddings, teaching and alot more. I was awed by how hard she worked to get to where she is now. Hopefully that'll inspire me to work harder in college. :)

I enjoyed the part about how most people waste their $$ on petty wants, like just having a fancy cup of coffee which would cost about.. $15 :O!! Just drinking homemade coffee instead of fancy ones from let's say.. Starbucks.. would save you $13 per cup. Which would amount to $77 a month and over $931 A YEAR. OMG!!

I feel so enlightened now xDD

Spent the rest of the day lazing around, ah yes I love the student centre.. It's so cooling :)

A Day of Events

BSOD

So yeah today was the 1st day of classes. Got our timetables today. I can't say I'm too happy with mine though. Most of the slots I got are.. meh.

The subjects
- EALD
- Computer Science
- Mathematics 3A/3B
- Chemistry
- Biology
+ MORAL STUDIES (WTF)

Well.. At least I got the same slot for Chem and Bio with Gazi and Ben. I have the same EALD class as Chonek. And Limei's in my Moral. Plus, it really isn't too crowded on any of the days. At most, it's 4 hours straight with a 20 minute short break in between so I can't really complain. Though I'm alone for 2 of my subs =(

I had Maths and Chem today. Right after getting our timetables from 8-9 and getting briefed, I had to head all the way to the AusMat floor (roof) to find my class. Maths is one of the subs I got no1 else with me. That I know la.. Random people damn lot. Just went for a place somewhere in the back cause by the time I found the class, most of the seats were already taken. The lesson was.. ok ok la. Nothing started yet, just a brief overview of the course and a little self introduction. It was quite fun la.. Listening to people talk about themselves and past times. After the 1st 5 people, the teacher said "Ok, take online off your pasttime cause if not, everyone would be saying the same thing" which is what everyone had been saying about their pasttime. Ahhaha. So yeah.. T'was ok.. *Not that many hot chicks larrhhhh*

Had 2 hours break before Chem.. So you know the drill.. ROCK CAFE. LOL

Grabbed lunch then headed back to campus with Gazi and Ben for Chem. Once again, had to head back to the roof. Urgh. Took awhile to find the place though, none of the signs showed SW4-4. Staring at the sign which showed SW4-1 -> 4-3 *forward* and SW4-5 ->4-7*right* Cause it was behind us. LOL.

Some people said 1st impressions are the most important. After our intro in Chem.. I'm sure we've solidified our place in the class.. in a not so good way. FEAAAAAR.
Apparently there was a person with the same name.. But that person was nowhere near the standard of the other.

Meh, none of my class are the same as.. ******* (Number of stars may or may not vary from the actual amount) Why larh?

There'll be another orientation on Friday. AusMat gets to end at 12 :DDDDD

It's already been my 2nd day as an official Sun-U student.. Feels kinda.. nice? haha.

Day 1~
The 1st day was okay. I went by bus, had to get up and be ready by 6.30 and get to McDonalds. The bus was going to be there sometime around 6.50. So yeah, had to get up friggin early. Earlier than when I was in secondary school. *shocked* From there it was about a 1 hour trip to Sunway. Without stopping at any stops.. "Why?" you ask?, cause there wasn't a single soul to be seen in any of them. The whole trip, the only passenger was.. me. :O! The driver said that usually the 1st day, most people would be following their parents, I suppose it was kinda like the 1st day of school all over again, only in college. So yeah, nobody but me.

I think I reached early, or rather, earlier than everyone else. Arrived at 8. Walked around doing absolutely nothing, inconspicously scanning the crowd for.. *wink wink* till Ben got there at about.. 8.40+? Then Beng Way and Chonek showed up round' 9. Then I spotted limau. Then Sam arrived. Gazi.. being his usual self, was the latest among us. Went to register for our respective courses 1st.

AusMat --> Me, Ben, Gazi, Chonek, Limau
A-Levels --> Sam
FIA --> Beng Way (feaaaaar)

The remainder of the day was spent listening to talks, talks talks and more talks. Then the AusMat group had to go take photos. :O

Then.. Muahaha. Rock Cafe! ROFL. For like.. almost 2 hours.


Day 2~
It was quite relaxing. This time I followed Bw to sunway. Although I still had to get up just as early and be at McD at 6.50 as well. So practically.. no difference. I thought I wanted to try on the new shirt I bought + new shoes. Turned out to be an awesome plan. While walking to bw's car. I slipped *woohoo* holding.. A cup of freshly made hot coffee. (precariously perched on top of my burger box). Doesn't exactly take the mind of a genius to figure out what happened next. *SPLASH* Boom! There goes new shirt and shoes. =.= Though I managed to get em washed once we got to Sunway. Bw mentioned the waiter was.. staring at me in disbelief. Well I'm sure you would have done the same if someone just friggin messed up the beautiful floor you just worked so hard to mop.

Meh, his fault for not moping it properly. Rofl.

Anyways.. Arrived around.. 7.15. Which was damn early, considering my programmes for the day only started at 10.30. Gawd I had hours to burn. Went to grab a bite at the food court nearby. *wink wink*, naw, no cc. It wasn't opened yet -.- who opens at friggin 7 in the morning?
Went back in, lepak-ed awhile, then bw left at about 8.30. Lucky him, FIA starts at 8.30. Good thing Ben already came as well. Followed him around for abit. Sam came but went straight for his a-lvls, they started at 9. 10 minutes after he got there. So once again, stone somewhere till Gazi came, damn late as usual. The 3 of us thought we'd try to go to the designated location for our activities early for a change. Walked all the way up to the 3rd floor, to find out we were on the wrong building =.=!! Went all the way back down, and what'd you know. Spotted Li Mei sitting near the.. err.. the place.. with alot of tables near the cafeteria.. The.. uhh.. lounge? LoL.
Waited for Chonek and Limei's friend to show up. (I forgot her name lol =x)

Went to NE 3.7 at 10.30. It was like.. an exam hall. I think. The size of 2 classrooms. And with all the seats taken, and a long line forming from front to back. We still had to go all the way back and squeeze in some corner. That's how many AusMat students there were. I'd say there was almost 200 :O. So yeah, we split into groups of 10 and went for a tour. "Okay, this group come, you'll be following.. Gabriel (I think) and Felicia. Yes, we LOLed.

The tour was.. hot. Which was 1 way to describe it, literally. Walked a circle before going downstairs.. just to go all the way up to the roof. THE ROOF IS THE AUSMAT FLOOR WTHHH
before going all the way back down to the lab areas. like WTHHH walking in huge giant circles. Then we went back up to the 3rd floor where we were shown where we were to meet up again later, "beside the dustbin" Hahah, if you don't get that, you were never meant to =)

WALKED ALL THE WAY BACK DOWN. Headed to "orange" for lunch. Lawls. Hung around till.. 12.20. We got off the tour early, bout.. 11. So our lunch took like.. 1 hour 20 mins? Went back to Sun-U.. Then Sam had to eat. So back to "orange" we went. Urgh~ Tiringgggggg.
Then.. ANOTHER TOUR LOL. Library this time :D

Finished round.. 2. Spent 2 hours + at Rock Cafe, then came home..

God I'm nervous, we're getting our timetables tomorrow. Garh! @@ Guess the fooling around ends here. Time to get serious.

Lagoooooooooooooooooooooooon!

Went lagoon yesterday. There were 6 of us : Jon, Lillian, Aly, Theresa, Calvin and me. :D

Wasn't sure whether I was going to go, it wasn't exactly that familiar of a group to me. But since I had alrdy prepared everything, might as well go and enjoy. After all, spending a day at lagoon is better than a day at home, no? :)

Met up with Jon and Calvin at SMC. Jon drove =D. Then went to pick up Aly and Lillian. Then it was off to Sunway =DD. Sunway looked quiet. *Durh it was like.. barely 10am* so yeah, we walked to lagoon from there.

Then.. omg wtf over crowded entrance :O! No shit, it was packed. Ahahha. So anyways, we got our watches (Special SunwayLagoon watches, you'll need em to get in xD) and waited for Theresa. Calvin and I then went to KFC to buy a snack while the others waited. It took.. forever to walk to KFC before I noticed.. We took the long way (wtf), walked from the new wing, to the entrance, then to KFC... when we could have just cut across from the new wing. Urgh. Rofl.
Cheesy Wedges ftw! It was supposed to be take-away, but we ended up eating there. Ahhaa

Went back, went in lagoon. Whee. Aly wanted to "warmup" rofl, so we randomly searched for smth.. not all that thrilling. Sat the mini rollercoaster 1st. Beside the log canoe thingy. It was.. "awesome". Meh. Dam boring, rofl. Went for the log thingy next, got wet all over. *Splash*

Then.. Dum dum dum! Pirate Ship!! Guess who skipped it xDDD. Me, Aly, Lil watched from below. Rofl. Jon, Theresa and Calvin went for it :O. Mm.. And yeah, Aly got all excited from seeing a deer. "omg omg omg it's a deer!!" like wth? lol.

After Pirate Ship, Tomahawk! Gaaaaawd, how many upside down rides does a park need? Once again, the 3 of us who skipped the ship, skipped this.. And.. went for.. Spinning pots! LOL

An old flame is rekindled

It's starting all over again. Is this a good sign? I have no idea. I feel I'm heading towards another dead end. The uneasiness, getting restless, the inability to stop someone from getting into your head. It's all the initial signs.

I better stop this before it gets outta hand.
