Buzzkill

That was exactly the spark I needed.

My mind shudders at the cold, my body turns ice cold. Was it really that thoughtless? It felt like such an easy thing to do, a rush of adrenaline pumping through my veins, urging me forward. A senseless act, done without regard to the consequences afterward. Completely disregarding everything but instant gratification, I did what I did.

I claim all culpability for my deeds. I won't deny what I did. A self-centred act of merriment. True, I've found the spark I was pursuing, but was it worth it? A feeling I long for, a sentiment long forgotten, to get one's blood boiling as ice cold blood flows through every inch of your conscious mind and thought. Contradictions they may be, but those words ring true.

Some say that time is the greatest medicine for any wound. Inexplicably, time is capable of the complete opposite. Nonchalantly breaking bonds between people, lending a helping hand to ever growing rifts. Time gives, and time takes. Powerless as we are, we can do nothing but stand by and watch it work its malice.

Straightforwardly, I loathe you, you hold a disdain towards me. Sounds unproblematic enough. I apologize for my outwardly tactless act. That is but all the penitence I have left within me.

What drives me? Incentives are non-existent to me. Give or take, it may be that whatever remorse in me has been ripped out of my soul. The world is divided into two, those that conform with you, and those who don't. I played with fire, and I got scorched.

It just goes to show, watch what you say and what you do. Every living moment of every single day, people are scrutinizing you. All it takes it one slip for you to get devoured in this world. A world where friendships mean nothing and bonds are but a thing of the past. Nothing matters anymore except individual gain. Those around you are only there for themselves.

To find a person who's truly there for you is is an atypical occurrence. Cherish those people.

Inspiration, and the lack of it.

Finally found my thesaurus back. Sadly, I'm in a rather dazed and befuddled state to post anything at the moment. It'll take awhile to regain my inspiration to write another post.

Planning to write another twisting and turning deep thought, but I just lack the proper impetus.

It feels anomalous yet gratifying to randomly dish out arduous words again.

It's been way too long.

Without a sense of direction, where will all of these lead me?

The sesquipedalian still lurks somewhere within the abyss of my memories.

I falter in my resolve.

A Tangled Tale

Title kinda sounds familiar doesn't it? Well I'll get to that in just a bit. Prior to that, I'm gonna blog about what went on, on Friday, for me and a few friends.

So yeah, as I was saying. Friday, managed to organize a small outing among a few friends. It was the only time I could get Mun out as she was busy with her IELTS exams and luckily enough she had a break in between the 2 days. Got Itianne and Amanda along for the day too. Originally, the plan was to head on down to Glenmarie for our 6 month overdue lunch there. Sounds simple enough, no? Well, last minute changes in circumstances changed the plan.

So this happened.

Got to college around 9. It still feels funny to go back there, knowing my course has ended. Don't ask me why but I feel like a stranger to the place. Met up with Amanda first as Mun was late (for a very weird yet amusing reason) and Itianne was MIA. For a solid 30 minutes.

Once everyone was finally gathered, we headed on down to this place.

Pan Mee breakfast!

Although we got lost along the way. Somehow I managed to overshoot the exit at the LDP and so I ended up driving all the way down to SS22 and exited at Taman Mega. Really far off. Literally drove past Amanda's place and several of her friends houses too. But the second time round, got out the proper exit, at Kelana Jaya.

I give up on writing on directions I took there, I fail with Geography. Literally.

Faceplant.

After breakfast we took a detour over to Taylor's Lakeside Campus to check it out. OMG IT WAS HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! They had Starbucks, Bread Story, and whatnot. Looked more like a mall to me. D: D:

Went back to college then headed off to Pyramid again. This time we decided to.. WALK! using the newly built and recently opened Canopy Walk. It took us a grand total of 7m42s (around there la) to get from the East Building from Sunway UC to Sunway Pyramid. Definitely beats walking from the side gate under the blazing, scorching midday heat.

This was the entrance from the East building.

The Canopy Walk cuts through Sunway Lagoon too. So you actually get to see stuff along the way as opposed to the conventional routine, sightless, boring and.. repetitive trips we used to take.

I wanted to watch Harry Potter that day, but Amanda kept insisting that she already watched it and wanted to watch something else. I couldn't argue, nor could I get Itianne on my side. To top it all off, Amanda was 100% impervious to all the guilt tactics I tried on her. D: D: D:

So we ended up watching.. This. *look below*

Hence, the title of this post.

Well, I enjoyed it, so I can't really complain. The story revolved around those three characters seen in the poster. Flynn Rider, Rapunzel and Maximus. You don't need to me tell you who's who right. A lot of the scenes were quite funny, although some were really expected. That didn't take away the fun though. Had lots of laughs throughout the movie and watching Itianne's reaction. D:

Take note of the frying pan and it's importance in the movie. If you're gonna watch it that is.

Walked around, stoned in Popular, then went back.

Well.. Summed up in one word, fun. :D

The Social Network

Okay, it's bout time I brought some life back into this blog of mine. Perhaps I need to inject a little more of outings and a little less of ranting. But what better way is there to pass the time?

So Jon managed to win two tickets to watch The Social Network and he brought me (thanks again) and Aly also won two, so she invited Kareshma.

My pass. :D

Left kk around 6 cause SOMEBODY wanted to study. I shall refrain from name calling and finger pointing and resort to subtle hinting. Took us roughly an hour to get from kk to Mid Valley, which was LOONG. Of course, the journey was smooth sailing.. Until..

"See how come no jam on this side but the other side so jam?"

Touche. Then it took us a LONG time from that spot to Mid Valley.

Dropped by MPH cause Aly was looking for a book before a quick dinner at McD. Jon and Aly introduced a pretty neat game to play with Kareshma. ;) So after dinner went to find the Nuffnang stand.

Showing off your MPH bag?

Roar.

After we collected our tickets, had an hour till the movie started. So we decided to each just... do what they prefered. Aly and Kareshma went walking about while Jon and I pool-ed.

4-3. EAT MAH HAXXORX DUST.

So yeah, met up at 9pm and went in.

Cinemaaaaaaaaaaa.

The movie was... gooooood. I'm not much of a movie critic but yeah, it was quite the enjoyable experience. Made me think a lot bout how Facebook came to be. Inspired me here and there to, though I did get pretty lost in the storyline in the beginning.

To sum it up, fun day.

Okay I'm just not good at writing event posts. Hah!

Rant of the day : Someone who once came across as nothing but obnoxious and annoying to me.. no longer does. I guess there's a much bigger annoyance dogging my attention right now, it makes all the petty ones go away. Though I still haven't decided whether to follow through with my course of action.

LOL much better.

Gift Hunting

Touche.

I'll be risking the trip today for it.

The things I do.

Then maybe I'll be meeting a friend around 2.15, then movie later at 5 with another.

Long day ahead.

EDIT : So I found the PERFECT gift. Heh, why does the week feel so long now. Played so much pool day, can safely say that I'm one happy boy.

Post on The Social Network will be up soon, thanks Jon for tix. :D

Stars Twinkle In The Brilliant Night Sky

Yesterday was the day, as I'm about to write. AusMat Graduation Night 2010, Night of a Thousand Stars. To some, it was a night that signifies the ending of a 17 month (July), 10 month (January) or a 7 month (March) struggle.

Different as the duration may be, one thing about the night remained the same for everyone. The night marked the end of an era and the beginning of another as each of us took a step into our new world and walked down our individual paths. Some of us may cross paths again while others may not. But to me, the night meant more than just that, it was also my first prom event since my high school one was cancelled. Enough bout that, time to get into the details. :)

Had to play the role of a driver that afternoon, fetched Mun over to Amanda's place. Then headed home to prepare.

Arrived at Holiday Villa about 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled starting time of the event. Ran into Marcus and Yoke Yee before attempting to locate the place.

(:

Managed to locate the hall but we couldn't go in yet. It appeared as though they were still preparing. We peered into one of the side windows and saw the lecturers dancing. Yes, haha! Later that night, we realised why.

Waited for Itianne, Amanda and Mun to arrive then we all went and joined Marcus and Jo in the reception hall for a camwhore pre-graduation photo session.

Finally, the time came for us to go in and find our respective places. If I could talk about one flaw of the night, it was how we were all horribly dispersed into random tables. Marcus and Mun at one, Jo and I at another, Kelly, Suqi and May Jing at yet another while Itianne and Amanda were lost in the crowd.

But alas, everything was still good. After a round of opening speeches and introductions, it was time to get into the good stuff.

A performance by the AusMat lecturers! This is why we saw them dancing earlier.

A journey through time as they displayed various dance styles from the century. Awesome performance since they've only practiced for about 4 days. (According to what I heard).

Then another performance from Mr. Varun and Hou Yin,

A short story about how your past can creep back out to haunt you.

Then, this,

After all the performances,

DINNER!

Not being that big fan of food, I'll skip the food reviews of the night. However, this can be certain. It was GOOOOOOOOOOD.

Round #2 of camwhoring photo sessions. (:

Alvin and Kelly, don't they look so sweet? :P
